Restylane® in Tampa Bay

If you are looking for a treatment that can provide instant facial volume and a reduction in facial wrinkles, we may recommend Restylane® injections. At Eyelid Surgeons of Tampa Bay, we offer Restylane® and other injectables to men and women living in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa, FL and the many others who travel to us for Dr. Mohadjer’s expert services.

What is Restylane®?

Restylane® is a brand of dermal filler products that, much like Juvéderm®, feature hyaluronic acid as the main ingredient. Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a naturally occurring ingredient that is found in the skin. HA helps the skin maintain volume, moisture, and elasticity.

Sadly, as the body ages, hyaluronic acid decreases. With Restylane® injections, a smooth gel-like formula is placed into the skin, which restores volume and youth to the treatment area. There are also a number of Restylane® treatments available, each for different cosmetic concerns.

What is Restylane® Silk?

Restylane® Silk is a smaller, finer injection of the Restylane® formula. It is designed to be incredibly smooth, making it ideal for lip augmentation treatments. Restylane® Silk is perfect for enhancing lip volume and smoothing out lines around the mouth.

What is Restylane® Lyft?

Restylane® Lyft is an injectable product designed for cheek augmentation and the treatment of deeper lines and wrinkles in the surrounding areas. These wrinkles include smile lines and other folds around the nose and mouth.

What is Restylane® Refyne?

Restylane® Refyne is a particularly smooth formula that is designed for the treatment of mild to moderate nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Crafted with XpresHAn Technology™, Restylane® Refyne helps you maintain your natural expressiveness and flexibility of facial movements.

What is Restylane® Defyne?

Restylane® Defyne is similar to the Restylane® Refyne formula, also crafted with XpresHAn Technology™. However, Restylane® Defyne is designed for deeper lines and wrinkles than the Restylane® Refyne formula.

Am I A Good Candidate for Restylane®?

If you would like to increase volume in the face or reduce the appearance of wrinkles and folds, you may be a good candidate for Restylane® treatments. However, the best way to determine if you are a suitable candidate for Restylane® is to schedule a personal consultation with Dr. Mohadjer.

During your consultation, you and Dr. Mohadjer will discuss your cosmetic goals in order to determine if Restylane® is a good fit for you. At this point, we will be able to help you schedule your treatment or find a suitable alternative.

What is the Restylane® Treatment Like?

The Restylane® treatment begins with the application of a topical anesthetic. This will help reduce any discomfort that may occur during the injection process. Once the skin is numbed, the Restylane® formula will be injected into the desired treatment area. The number and exact location of these injections will depend on your treatment goals. However, the injection process takes only a few minutes, so the Restylane® treatment is often completed in less than 30 minutes.

What is the Restylane® Recovery Process Like?

Restylane®, like most injectable treatments, requires practically no downtime or recovery period. Immediately after your treatment, you may experience some redness, bruising, or swelling in the treatment area. These effects will fade within a few days of treatment. Despite these effects, you’ll be able to return to your normal activities immediately after your appointment.

What Kind of Results Can I Expect from Restylane®?

The results from Restylane® will be visible immediately, as the formula instantly smooths out lines and wrinkles as volume is added to the skin. These results will improve further as any side effects fade. The results from Restylane® will last between six months and 18 months or longer, depending on the product used and your treatment area.
